On our last full day in Vegas, Vegas won, and Vegas won big time. And no, I am not talking about the gambling, I am talking about sleep. Or perhaps, jet lag. After a bit of a boozy but not toooo late night on Saturday, I woke up on Sunday around 8am, and with a bit of a headache and a woozy stomach, popped an electrolyte and some painkillers, and went back to bed for what I was hoping would be an hour or so. Dave barely stirred.

The Strip, Las Vegas, Nevada
Saturday, the day after our Grand Canyon tour, was our first full day in Las Vegas (and of the trip actually!), and what better way to spend a beautiful sunny spring day than by relaxing in the sun by the pool, drink in hand of course! We stayed at the MGM Signature Suites (through airbnb, so much better value than paying full price through the hotel itself!) but had access to all of the MGM Grand amenities and facilities so after a quick brekky at one of the cafes we meandered down to the Grand Pool to settle in for the arvo.
The Grand Canyon, Arizona
With a reputation as one of the most spectacular sites in the world, and the accolade of being one of the seven natural wonders of the world to back it up, the Grand Canyon sure has a lot to live up to. And boy, does it deliver.
